These things have been part of our Oregon heritage since the first wagons rolled west across the vast American frontier. We have been a part of that connection to the land and all that springs from it since 1961, when a group of families in Culver, Oregon founded Round Butte Seed. At that time, we helped local farmers—mainly grass seed producers—market and sell their crops; we provided grass seeds, wildflowers, fertilizers and other products they needed for their farms.
A lot has changed since then, but our values remain the same. Today our company is still owned by two of the original Culver families. We still sell our Central Oregon neighbors' specialty grass seed crops and products originating in Culver, Bend, Prineville and Christmas Valley, and you can still buy the highest-quality fertilizers, feed and agricultural chemicals.
But now, small acre farmers, landscapers and residential gardeners are also an integral part of who we are and what we offer. To serve them, we have become "Gardening Central"; we've branched out to sell wild-bird feed, a stunning selection of wildflower seeds, and a variety of gardening, pond and pet products. Round Butte seed has become a great place to visit and a very fun place for green thumbs to shop!
